36 PLAYBACK
Playing an Audio CD
1 Insert the disc.
➤ After loading the disc, playback starts automatically.
➤ If the TV is on, the Audio CD screen appears.
➤ During play, the current track number and its
elapsed playing time will show on the TV screen and
on the Recorder display.
2 To stop play at any time, press .
➤ The number of tracks and the total playing time will
show on the TV screen and on the Recorder display.
Pause
1 Press during play.
2 To return to play, press .
Search
1 To search forward or backward through the disc at
four times the normal speed, press or .
➤ Search begins and the sound is intermittent.
2 To step up to eight times the normal speed, press
or again.
➤ Search goes to 8x speed, and the sound is mute.
3 To r eturn to four times the normal speed, press
or again. If the TV is on, search speed and
direction are indicated on the screen each time
or is pressed.
4 To end the search, press or as desired.
Moving to another track
● Press during play to step forward to the next
track.
● Press during play to return to the beginning of
the current track. Rapidly press repeatedly to
step back to previous tracks.
● To go directly to any track, enter the track number
using the numerical buttons 0-9.
Repeat track/disc
● To repeat the currently playing track, press REPEAT.
➤ ‘Repeat track’ appears on the TV screen in the
Audio Disc Mode box.
● To repeat the entire disc, press REPEAT a second
time.
➤ ‘Repeat disc’ appears on the TV screen in the Audio
Disc Mode box.
● To exit repeat mode, press REPEAT a third time.
Repeat A-B
To repeat a specific segment of a Track:
1 Press A-B at your chosen starting point.
➤ ‘Repeat A’ appears on the TV screen in the Audio
Disc Mode box.
2 Press A-B again at your chosen end point.
➤ ‘Repeat A-B’ appears on the TV screen in the Audio
Disc Mode box and the segment begins to play
repeatedly.
3 To exit the segment and return to normal playback,
press A-B again.
Scan
Scan plays the first 10 seconds of each track on the disc.
1 Press SCAN. The first 10 seconds of each track will
play, beginning with the current track.
2 To continue play at your chosen track, press SCAN
again or press .
● This function may not be available with some discs
