Cleaning and servicing

Switch off the appliance by means of the on/off switch

before cleaning it and disconnect the mains plug from

the plug box. Never pull out the plug by the cable but

always by the plug itself.

The appliance, housing and accessories can be wiped

clean with a moist cloth should this be necessary. Under

no circumstances allow fluid to get into the motor room.

Never use aggressive cleaning agents (abrasives or thin-

ners, etc.) since these will attack plastic surfaces.

Fine fluff can collect on the nozzle in time. This fluff is to

be removed.

Deliming

The steam boiler should be delimed about every 6

months to ensure the appliance a longer service life.

To this end switch off the appliance, disconnect the

mains plug and drain off the water left in the tank.

Fill the water tank with 1.5 litres warm water (50°C

to 60°C) and put one or two descaling tabs in the

tank. The water in the tank can be drained off with the

dissolved residue after allowing to react for about 30

minutes. You can repeat this operation should it prove

necessary.

Washing instructions, terry cloth towel

The supplied terry cloth towel comprises 90% polyester

and 10% cotton. The cloth is available in the trade and

can be purchased in a store with a good selection of

products.

We do not recommend that you lubricate or oil the roller

bearings because the lubricant or oil used only attracts

dust and fluff to a greater extent.

Disposal of electrical and

electronic appliances

At the end of its service life the appliance

must be disposed of in accordance with the

valid legislation. The appliance is not to be

treated municipal refuse.

The symbol on the product or its packaging indicates

that this product must not to be treated as normal house-

hold refuse but is to be delivered to a collection point for

recycling electric and electronic appliances.

You make your contribution to protect the environment

and the health of the people you live with by ensuring

that this product is disposed of correctly.

The environment and your health will be put at risk

should the appliance not be disposed off correctly.

You will receive further information on the recycling of

this product from your council house, refuse collectors or

at the shop where you bought this product.

Those who do not dispose of the appliance as instructed

here according to the valid legislation take the full

responsibility for damage caused to the environment.

We recommend that you keep the packaging for your

appliance at least during the period of guarantee.
