15. SETTINGS MENU

Use the [ARROW] keys to highlight a directory, and then press [YES] to open it. To exit a directory and

back one step up in the directory hierarchy, select the item labeled “..” at the very top of the screen and

press [YES]. Do this repeatedly to return to the top of the directory hierarchy. You can also press [FUNC]

+ [RIGHT] to open a directory and [FUNC] + [LEFT] to exit a directory. To distinguish directories from

samples, all directories, including the directory exit row, “..”, are labeled with a (D) at the very end of the row.

When browsing a directory in the +Drive, a sample assigned to one of the 127 sample slots of the active

project will have its slot number shown as seen below.

15.2.1 LOADING A SAMPLE

You can load one or several samples to the RAM memory of the active project.

1. Press [SETTINGS], and then open the SAMPLES menu.

2. Open the FACTORY directory, and then navigate to the samples you want to load.

3. Highlight the samples, and then press [YES] to tick them. Any sample can be previewed (played

back by the voice of the active track), just highlight it and then press [FUNC] + [YES]. Approxi-

mately, ten seconds of the sample can be previewed.

4. Press the [RIGHT] arrow key. A menu will appear on the right side of the screen.

5. Select LOAD TO PROJECT and press [YES].

The samples you selected (ticked) will now appear in the ﬁrst available empty slots out of the 127 sample

slots of the active project. To view the samples currently in the RAM memory of the active project, press

the [LEFT] arrow key twice. This will bring up the left side menu.
