50.2 VES-1616FE-55A Access and Login
V I forgot the IP address for the VES-1616FE-55A.
1 The default IP address is 192.168.1.1.
2 Use the console port to log in to the VES-1616FE-55A.
3 Use the management port to log in to the VES-1616FE-55A.
4 If this does not work, you have to reset the VES-1616FE-55A to its factory defaults. See
Section 50.4 on page 276.

V I cannot see or access the Login screen in the web configurator.
1 Make sure you are using the correct IP address.
• The default IP address is 192.168.1.1.
• If you changed the IP address (Chapter 11 on page 93), use the new IP address.
• If you changed the IP address and have forgotten it, see the troubleshooting
suggestions for I forgot the IP address for the VES-1616FE-55A.
2 Check the hardware connections, and make sure the LEDs are behaving as expected. See
Section 2.3 on page 45.
3 Make sure your Internet browser does not block pop-up windows and has JavaScripts
and Java enabled. See Appendix A on page 291.
4 Make sure your computer is in the same subnet as the VES-1616FE-55A. (If you know
that there are routers between your computer and the VES-1616FE-55A, skip this step.)
5 If you have configured more than one IP interface, make sure another administrator is
NOT logged into the web configurator on a different IP interface using the same account.
6 Reset the VES-1616FE-55A to its factory defaults, and try to access the VES-1616FE-
55A with the default IP address. See Section 50.4 on page 276.
7 If the problem continues, contact the network administrator or vendor, or try one of the
advanced suggestions.
