After you installed the mini-GBIC transceivers in the SFP slots, follow the steps below to
connect and wind a fiber-optic cable around the fiber tray.
1 Connect a fiber-optic cable to the mini-GBIC transceiver.
2 Bind the cables using cable ties after they are connected (circled).

3 Position the bottom of the fiber tray on the front panel. Install the two screws on the tray
bottom.
4 Wind the fiber-optic cable (connected to the transceiver) around the tray in a clockwise
fashion and from outside to inside.
5 Wind the fiber-optic cable (from the fiber-optic sleeve) around the cabinet in a
counterclockwise fashion and from outside to inside.
