9. Type #ifconfig ppp0 to check if the connection is OK. If the connection is OK, you should see the IP

NFS (Network File System) Client
The Network File System (NFS) is used to mount a disk partition on a remote machine (as if it were on a local
hard drive), allowing fast, seamless sharing of files across a network. NFS allows users to develop applications
for the V2616A-LX without worrying about the amount of disk space that will be available. The V2616A-LX only
supports NFS client protocol.

The following procedures illustrate how to mount a remote NFS Server.
1. Scan the NFS Server’s shared directory:
#showmount –e HOST
showmount: Shows the mount information of an NFS Server
-e: Shows the NFS Server’s export list.
HOST: IP address or DNS address
2. Establish a mount point on the NFS Client site:
#mkdir –p /home/nfs/public
3. Mount the remote directory to a local directory:
# mount -t nfs -o nolock 192.168.3.100:/home/public /home/nfs/public
(This is where 192.168.3.100 is the example IP address of the NFS server.)
SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol)
The V2616A comes with the SNMP v2c (Simple Network Management Protocol) software package. It supports
RFC 1213 MIB-II. In addition, it also supports the Moxa defined MIB which supports following catagories of
Moxa defined OIDs. This MIB is listed in Appendix B.
