SAEk Translation of the original instructions GB ELETTROPOMPE I Before starting prime the pump filling it with water via the hole in the loading plug in the upper part of the pump casing After a period of time sufficient in order to reach the steady state it shall be necessary to verify the following conditions lack of vibrations or of anomalous noisesjack of changes in the delivery value of the absorbed current by the motor not higher than the one indicated on the plate In presence of one or more of the above mentioned conditions it shall be necessary to stop the pump and to find the cause If the electropump remains inactive at low temperatures or at any rate for a period exceeding three months it is a good idea to empty the pump attraverso l apposito tappo Maintenance The BP CMK series electric pumps can be considered free from routine maintenance In case extraordinary maintenance is required get in touch with the SAER Technical Assistance Do not modify the product without the necessary preventive authorization Before executing any operation turn off the power and prevent it from being reconnected Decomissioning and disposal At the end of the operating life of the pump electropump or any of its parts it must be disposed of in observance of current regulations This is also valid for the liquid contents with particular regard if classified toxic or harmful Refer to the informations about the disposal in accordance with the WEEE Directive 2012 19 EU given in this manual 9 1 Failures causes and remedies Failures Causes Remedies The motor will not start no noise or vibration Voltage does not get to the motor cable Check appliance and or electricity line The fuses are burnt out Replace the fuses with new ones Motor cable broken The motor has been connected wrongly Repair or replace the cable Correct any wrong connection Fig 3 The capacitori s broken for single phase motor Replace the capacitor The motor will not start it is noisy and or vibrates The protection devices trip The rotating member is jammed Dismantle and remove the cause The voltage is too high Call the electricity company A cable is earthed or short circuited Repair or replace the cable The winding is earthed Dismantle the motor and replace the winding Cable terminals loose Tighten all the terminals The rotating member is jammed Dismantle and remove the cause Too much sand in the water Reduce the rate of flow with the delivery gate valve Insufficient or zero flow Lower head than the declared one The electric pump operates irregurarly and or vibrates The pump has not been filled with water Fill the pump The suction pipe is narrow or it is leaking Replace the damaged pipe or gland The foot valve is clogged Clean or replace the valve Impellers clogged Dismantle and overhaul The level in the well drops more than expected Check the capacity of the well Wrong direction of rotation Change the direction of rotation Leakage in delivery pipe Replace the damaged pipe or gland Internal members worn out Dismantle and overhaul Air or gas in the water Call the manufacturer The pump operates at too low head Regulate the gate valve on the delivery pipe Mechanical members worn out Dismantle and overhaul The NPSH of the system is insufficient Reduce the rate of flow Spare parts Use only original spare parts To order spare parts refer to the catalogues or contact the SAER Technical Assistance specifying the kind of pump the serial number and the year of manufacture all these data are to be found in the identification plate This product is free from manufacturing defects 8 Keep the manual for future reference For more information visit www saerelettropompe com
