ger than that of the driver.

The airbags are not deployed in the event

of collisions of low severity (for which the

withholding action of the seat belts is suf-

ficient). For this reason, the seat belt must

be worn at all times. In the case of side

collisions, the seat belts hold occupants in

the correct position and prevent being

thrown out of the car by a very violent

collision.

It consists of an instant-inflating cushion

contained in a special recess in the cen-

tre of the steering wheel.

Do not apply stickers or oth-

er objects on the steering

wheel, passenger side airbag cover or

side upholstery on roof. Do not place

objects on the passenger side dash-

board because these could interfere

with the correct opening of the airbag

(e.g. mobile phones) and cause severe

injury to occupants.

WARNING

In the event of a collision, a person not

wearing a seat belt may be thrown for-

ward and con into contact with the bag

before it has fully opened. The protection

offered by the cushion is reduced in such

a case.

Front air bag may not be activated in the

following situations:

❒

in collisions against highly deformable

objects not affecting the car front sur-

face (e.g. bumper collision against guard

rail, etc.);

❒

jamming of the car underneath other

vehicles or protective barriers (e.g. un-

derneath a truck or a guard rail); in this

case, the bags would offer no addition-

al protection with respect to the seat

belt and their deployment is unneces-

sary. No deployment in such cases is

consequently not the sign of a fault.

В заполненном состоянии подушки безо-

пасности занимают почти все свободное

пространство между рулевым колесом и

телом водителя; передней панелью и те-

лом пассажира.

В случае столкновения человек, не при-

стегнутый ремнем безопасности, силой

инерции будет отброшен вперед и столк-

нется с подушкой безопасности раньше,

чем она будет заполнена до отказа. В

этом случае эффективность защитной

функции подушки существенно снижает-

ся.

Фронтальные подушки безопасности не

срабатывают в следующих ситуациях:

столкновение с объектом малой жест-

кости, не вызывающим повреждения

передней поверхности кузова (напри-

мер, наезд бампером на дорожное

ограждение и т. п.);

защемление автомобиля под другими

автомобилями или стационарными

объектами (например, под грузовиком

или под брусом дорожного огражде-

ния); в таких случаях подушки не могут

обеспечить дополнительную защиту в

помощь ремням безопасности, их сра-

батывание бесполезно. Отсутствие

срабатывания в подобных ситуациях

не является признаком неисправнос-

ти.



Фронтальные подушки безопасности не

срабатывают при незначительных столкно-

вениях (в таких случаях достаточно удержи-

вающего действия ремней безопасности).

Поэтому пристегивать ремень безопаснос-

ти следует в любом случае. В случае боко-

вого столкновения ремни безопасности

удерживают пассажиров внутри автомоби-

ля даже при очень сильных ударах.

ФРОНТАЛЬНАЯ ПОДУШКА

БЕЗОПАСНОСТИ ВОДИТЕЛЯ

Представляет собой мгновенно раскрыва-

ющуюся подушку, уложенную в специальное

гнездо в центре рулевого колеса.

ФРОНТАЛЬНАЯ ПОДУШКА

БЕЗОПАСНОСТИ ПАССАЖИРА

(рис.15)

Представляет собой мгновенно раскры-

вающуюся подушку, уложенную в спе-

циальное гнездо на передней панели.

Объем данной подушки больше объема

фронтальной подушки безопасности во

дителя.

Не прикрепляйте наклей-

ки и другие предметы на

рулевое колесо, крышку подуш-

ки безопасности пассажира и

облицовку кузова над дверью.

Не кладите посторонние пред-

меты (сотовые телефоны и пр.)

на переднюю панель со сторо-

ны пассажира: при срабаты-

вании подушки безопасности

подобные предметы могут вы-

звать серьезное травмирова-

ние пассажира.
