Измельчение
Садовые отходы, такие как листья и хвоя, можно сгребать в
воронку при помощи граблей. После обработки материала
лезвиями и шарнирными ножами измельчителя он будет
выброшен через выходной дефлектор и далее в мешок-му-
соросборник, если он присоединен.
При измельчении садовых отходов выполняйте следующие
указания.
• Не измельчайте иные материалы, кроме обычных садовых
отходов (листья, ветки, шишки и т.п.).
• Не измельчайте волокнистые растения и травы, которые
плохо поддаются измельчению (как, например, стебли
помидоров, пока они полностью не высохнут) и могут на-
матываться на движущиеся детали измельчителя.
• Не закладывайте в воронку слишком много материала
сразу. Не перегружайте воронку.
• Прежде чем добавлять новую порцию материала в во-
ронку, дайте возможность измельчителю переработать
имеющийся в воронке материал. Несоблюдение этого
правила может привести к засорению воронки, выходного
дефлектора или к остановке двигателя.
ВАЖНО. Защитный экран шарнирных ножей располага-
ется внутри кожуха в области выброса. При засорении
защитного экрана снимите и очистите его согласно ука-
заниям с разделе «Регулировка и техническое обслужива-
ние». Для сохранения максимальной производительности
измельчителя важно поддерживать ножи в заточенном
состоянии.
Измельчение
В приемный желоб можно загружать ветки диаметром до
5 см (модели серии 450) или до 7,5 см (модели серии 460). При
измельчении веток выполняйте следующие указания.
• При загрузке ветки в приемный желоб крепко держите ее
обеими руками.
• Не загружайте в приемный желоб более одной ветки за
раз.
• Запрещается использовать машину для измельчения ма-
териалов не растительного происхождения.
• Чтобы избежать засорения приемного желоба или оста-
новки двигателя при загрузке в желоб крупных веток,
проталкивайте их с переменным давлением (сильно,
с короткими импульсами).
ВАЖНО. Запрещается загружать в приемный желоб ветки
диаметром более 5 см (модели серии 450) или более 7,5 см
(модели серии 460). Игнорирование этого запрета может
привести к серьезному повреждению ножей, шарнирных
ножей или крыльчатки измельчителя.
ПРИМЕЧАНИЕ. Для максимальной эффективности ножи
измельчителя должны быть всегда остро заточены. Если
при измельчении веток наблюдается заметная потеря
производительности, необходимо заменить ножи измель-
чителя.

Emptying the Bag
1. Stop engine.
2. Un-clip drawstring and loosen bag from chute deflector
opening. See Figure 5-3.
3. Empty bag and reattach to the discharge chute opening.
Pull on the drawstring until the bag is tight around the
chute opening and clip the drawstring tight against the
chute deflector.

Shredding
Yard waste such as leaves and pine needles can be raked up in
the hopper for shredding. After material has been processed by
the shredder blade and flails, it will be forced out of the chute
deflector, and, if attached, into a debris collection bag.

t Never attempt to shred material other than normal yard
debris (leaves, twigs, pine cones, etc.).
t Avoid shredding fibrous plants such as tomato vines until
they are thoroughly dried out. Fresh vines do not shred
well and tend to wrap themselves around the impeller and
flails.
t Place reasonable amounts of debris into the hopper at a
time. Do not overload the hopper.
t Allow the material in the hopper to be drawn into the
blades and shredded before adding additional debris
to the hopper. Failure to due so may result in a clogged
hopper, clogged chute deflector or a stalled engine.
IMPORTANT: The flail screen is located inside the housing
in the discharge area. If the flail screen becomes clogged,
remove and clean as instructed in the Maintenance &
Adjustments section. For best performance, it is also
important to keep the chipper blade sharp.

t Keep both hands firmly on the branch as you feed it into
the chipper chute.
t Never feed more than one branch into the chipper chute at
a time.
t Never feed anything other than branches (or wood) into
the chipper chute.
t Apply intermittent pressure (force, in short pulses) while
feeding larger branches into the chipper chute, to avoid
bogging or stalling the engine.
IMPORTANT: Never feed branches with a diameter greater
than two (2) inches (Model Series 450) or three (3) inches

or impeller.
NOTE: For best performance, always operate the unit with
sharp chipper blades. If a noticeable loss in performance is
encountered while chipping branches, the chipper blades
should be replaced.

Очистка мешка-мусоросборника
1. Заглушите мотор.
2. Ослабьте крепление и снимите мешок с отверстия
выходного дефлектора. См. рис. 5-3.
3. Очистите мешок и закрепите его на отверстии выходного
дефлектора. Затяните крепление, чтобы мешок плотно
охватил отверстие выходного дефлектора, и крепко
зажмите его на дефлекторе.
