Maintenance
General Recommendations
t Always observe safety rules when performing any
maintenance.
t The warranty on this chipper shredder does not cover
items that have been subjected to operator abuse or
negligence. To receive full value from warranty, operator
must maintain the equipment as instructed here.
t Changing of engine-governed speed will void engine
warranty.
t All adjustments should be checked at least once each
season.
t Periodically check all fasteners and make sure these are
tight.
WARNING: Always stop engine, disconnect spark
plug, and ground against engine before, cleaning,
lubricating, or performing any type of maintenance
on your machine.
Lubrication
1. Lubricate the release rod and spring with light oil once a

2. Lubricate the pivot points on the hopper with light oil once
a season.
3. Lubricate the pivot points on the chute deflector with light
oil once a season.
4. Follow the separate engine manual packed with your unit
for engine lubrication instructions.

Equipment Care
t Clean the chipper shredder thoroughly after each use.
t Wash bag periodically with water. Allow to dry thoroughly
in shade.
t If the discharge area becomes clogged, remove flail screen
and clean as instructed below.
NOTE: Cleaning with a forceful spray of water is not
recommended as it could contaminate the fuel system.
Engine Care

carefully.
t Check engine oil level before each use as instructed in the
separate engine manual.
t Clean or replace air cleaner every 25 hours under normal
conditions. Clean every few hours under extremely dusty
conditions. To service the air cleaner, refer to the engine
manual.
t The spark plug should be cleaned and the gap reset once
a season. Check engine manual for correct plug type and
gap specifications.
t Clean engine regularly with a cloth or brush. Keep the
top of the engine clean to permit proper air circulation.
Remove all grass, dirt, and combustible debris from muffler
area.

• Гарантия на садовый измельчитель не распространяется
на компоненты, поврежденные в результате неправильных
действий или небрежности оператора. Чтобы в полной
мере использовать все возможности, предоставляемые
гарантией, оператор должен проводить техническое об-
служивание измельчителя в соответствии с указаниями
инструкции.
• Изменение настройки частоты вращения двигателя ведет
к аннулированию гарантии на двигатель.
• Проверка всех настроек должна проводиться не реже
одного раза в сезон.
• Периодически проверяйте надежность всех креплений.
ПРЕДУПРЕЖДЕНИЕ! Перед выполнением тех-
нического обслуживания машины выключай-
те двигатель, отсоединяйте колпачок свечи
зажигания и заземляйте его на корпус.
Смазка
1. Смазывайте жидким маслом тягу фиксатора и пружину
один раз в сезон. См. рис. 6-1.
2. Смазывайте жидким маслом оси вращения воронки один
раз в сезон.
3. Смазывайте жидким маслом оси вращения выходного
дефлектора один раз в сезон.
4. Выполняйте инструкции по смазке двигателя, которые
приводятся в отдельном руководстве по эксплуатации
двигателя, входящем в комплект измельчителя.
Уход за измельчителем
• После каждого использования тщательно очищайте из-
мельчитель.
• Периодически промывайте мешок-мусоросборник в воде.
Хорошо просушите его в тени.
• При засорении области выброса снимите защитный экран
шарнирных ножей и очистите, как указано ниже.
ПРИМЕЧАНИЕ. Не рекомендуется выполнять чистку силь-
ной струей воды, поскольку она может просочиться в
топливную систему.
Уход за двигателем
Смотрите раздел «Техническое обслуживание» в руководстве
по эксплуатации двигателя, которое входит в комплект измель-
чителя. Внимательно прочтите и выполняйте приведенные
инструкции.
• Перед каждым использованием измельчителя проверяйте
уровень моторного масла по инструкциям в отдельном
руководстве по эксплуатации двигателя.
• При нормальных условиях эксплуатации проводите чистку
или замену воздушного фильтра через каждые 25 часов
работы. В условиях чрезвычайно сильного запыления про-
водите регулярную чистку через несколько часов работы.
Порядок чистки воздушного фильтра описан в руководстве
по эксплуатации двигателя.
• Очистку свечи зажигания и проверку искрового зазора
необходимо проводить один раз в сезон. Тип использу-
емой свечи и величина зазора указаны в инструкции по
эксплуатации двигателя.
• Регулярно проводите чистку двигателя, используя ткань
или щетку. Для надлежащей циркуляции воздуха содер-
жите в чистоте верхнюю часть двигателя. Удаляйте траву,
грязь и остатки топлива, которые скапливаются в области
глушителя.

WARNING: The operation of any chipper shredder
can result in foreign objects being thrown into the
eyes, which can damage your eyes severely. Always
wear the safety glasses provided with this unit or
eye shields before chipping or shredding and while
performing any adjustments or repairs.
Starting Engine
IMPORTANT: #FDBVTFUIJTNBOVBMDPWFSTTFWFSBMEJGGFSFOUNPEFM
units, different starting instructions may apply to your particular
engine. Some engines may have a fuel petcock, some may not.

units will utilize a choke system, while others will require priming.
These factors depend on what make and model engine comes
with your particular unit. For these reasons, please refer to the
FOHJOFPQFSBUPSTNBOVBMGPSUIFDPSSFDUTUBSUJOHQSPDFEVSF
Basic Starting Procedure:
1. Attach spark plug wire to spark plug. Make certain the
metal cap on the end of the spark plug is fastened securely
over metal tip on the spark plug.

See Figure 5-1. If the unit has a primer, prime the motor as

NOTE: A warm engine may not require choking or priming.
4. Move throttle control lever to FAST position (if equipped).

5. Grasp starter handle and pull rope out slowly until engine
reaches start of compression cycle (rope will pull slightly
harder at this point).
NOTE: A noise will be heard when finding the start of the
compression cycle. This noise is caused by the flails and
fingers, which are part of the shredding mechanism, and it
should be expected until the impeller reaches full speed.
 Pull rope with a rapid, continuous, full arm stroke. Keep a
firm grip on starter handle. Let rope rewind slowly.
 Repeat the previous steps until engine starts. When engine
starts, move choke control gradually to RUN position until
the engine is running smoothly.
WARNING: Never run the engine indoors or in a
poorly ventilated area. Engine exhaust contains
carbon monoxide, an odorless and deadly gas.
Stopping Engine

Lowering the Hopper
1. With one hand grasp the handle at the top of the hopper
and lift slightly.
2. With the other hand pull out on the release rod and lower
the hopper to the ground.
