Junction Box

The junction box [A] has fuses [B], relays, and diodes.

The relays and diodes can not be removed.

Junction Box Fuse Circuit Inspection

•

Remove the right side cover (see Frame chapter).

•

Remove the junction box.

•

Pull off the connectors from the junction box.

•

Make sure all connector terminals are clean and tight, and

none of them have been bent.

Clean the dirty terminals, and straighten slightly-bent ter-

minals.

•

Check conductivity of the numbered terminals with the

hand tester (see Junction Box Internal Circuit).

If the tester does not read as specified, replace the junc-

tion box.

Starter Circuit/Headlight Relay Inspection

•

Remove the junction box.

•

Check conductivity of the following numbered terminals

by connecting the hand tester and one 12 V battery to the

junction box as shown ( see Junction Box Internal Circuit).

If the tester does not read as specified, replace the junc-

tion box.
