Logs
This chapter provides information about the NWA/WAC’s logs.
Note: When the system log reaches the maximum number of log messages, new log
messages automatically overwrite existing log messages, starting with the oldest
existing log message first.
See the User’s Guide for the maximum number of system log messages in the NWA/WAC.
19.1 Log Commands Summary
The following table describes the values required for many log commands. Other values are
discussed with the corresponding commands.
The following sections list the logging commands.
Table 64 Input Values for Log Commands
LABEL DESCRIPTION
module_name The name of the category; kernel, syslog, .... The default category includes
debugging messages generated by open source software. The
all category
includes all messages in all categories.
ap_mac The Ethernet MAC address for the specified Access Point.
pri The log priority. Enter one of the following values: alert, crit, debug, emerg, error,
info, notice, or warn.
ipv4 The standard version 4 IP address (such as 192.168.1.1).
service The service object name.
keyword The keyword search string. You may use up to 63 alphanumeric characters.
log_proto_accept The log protocol. Enter one of the following values: icmp, tcp, udp, or others.
config_interface The interface name. Enter up to 15 alphanumeric characters, including hyphens and
underscores.
