HST: Adjusting Hot Start MIG (Values: -1 / Aut / +1)
Adjustment of starting current.
BRB: Adjusting Burn Back MIG (Values: -1 / Aut / +1)
Modies the length of the wire that sticks out of the contact tip at the end of
the welding cycle.
UCC: Adjusting MIG wire approach speed (Values: -1 / Aut / +1)
Modies the speed at which the wire approaches the part to be welded at the
start of the welding cycle.
PRG: Adjusting Pre gas MIG (Values: 0 / 10 seconds)
POG: Adjusting Post gas MIG (Values: 0 / 30 seconds)
BLC: Keypad block function (Values: yes / no)
LED 11 goes on and all the functions of the machine are blocked.
To release the machine, access the keypad block function.
REU: Resetting user programs (Values: yes / no)
Deletes all user programs.
REF:Resettingdefaultvalues(Values:yes/no)
Deletes all changes made to the programs and resets the default values of
the machine.
CAL: Calibrating the wire speed
Adjusting the pressure of the wire feed rollers and the brake of the coil reel
can affect the wire feed speed.
For better performance, calibrate the wire feed.
1) At the start of the calibration process the message “P1” appears with a
measurement: e.g. “30”.
2) Cut the welding wire outside the wire guide tip and press the torch button.
The machine releases a certain length of wire.
3) Cut the welding wire outside the wire guide tip and measure the wire
length.
4) Correct the measure indicated on the display and press the control “R” to
conrm.
The message P2 appears with a second measurement: e.g. 90.
5) Repeat the procedure from step (2).
At the end of the calibration process the message “set” appears and it is
possible to quit the service functions
L Gas and power are off during calibration.
Secondary functions
6) Selecting torch **
In machines designed for multiple torches, select the torch to be used: torch
1, 2, “Spool gun”.
** (This option may not be included with certain models).
7) Selecting 2 stages; 4 stages; “Spot”; “Stitch”
2 Stages: the machine starts welding when the button is pressed and stops
when the button is released. 4 Stages: press and release the button to start
welding. Press and release the button again to stop welding. Spot: when the
button is pressed the machine welds for a set period of time and then stops.
Stitch: when the button is pressed the machine starts a series of welds and
pauses for the set duration.
8) Adjustment of the welding time and the pause time
The welding time and the pause time, expressed in seconds, can be adjusted
(button 8 + “R”) (LED 4a on)
Adjust Arc force and Hot start (MMA)
The Arc force and Hot start values can be adjusted (button 8 + “R”).
Servicefunctions
To access the service functions press the control “L” for at least 3 seconds.
Rotate the control to browse through the functions.
Modifying a parameter: rotate the control “L”.
Choosing an action: rotate the control “R” to perform the action or not (yes/
no) and press the control to conrm (“set” message).
Toquittheservicefunctions press the control “L” for at least 3 seconds.
STR: Memorizing a user program
You can save 16 adjustments set for specic work.
The adjustment is memorized in the rst register available. Alternatively, the
desired register number can be chosen.
For occupied register numbers the message “FULL” appears. However, any
occupied register can be overwritten.
RCL: Recalling a user program
L If a user program is recalled, press SET for a short time to view the
register number and the combination: type of material, protection gas and
wire diameter.
