ALL PURPOSE FLAIL GEARBOX – ROTOR BELT

The tension of this belt can be adjusted by loosening the nuts B and C of the rod (fig. 19, A)

located on the right side of the all purpose flail.

IMPORTANT: If the belt is not well-tensioned, it could slip or wear down quickly. On the other hand

if the belt is too tensioned, it could wear down the bearings prematurely.

ROTATION OF THE ROTOR

To engage and disengage the rotor use the lever (fig. 2, n. 2). Engage the rotor at max. r.p.m. and

outside the grass to be cut. To disengage the rotor release the lever (fig. 2, n. 2). The rotor must

stop within 7 seconds. Should this not be the case adjust the rotor brake using the rod (fig. 11) and

replacing the braking element if necessary (fig. 10, B).

IMPORTANT: this procedure must be carried out by an authorized dealer.

HOW TO REPLACE THE BELTS

The transmission of the movement from the engine to the hydraulic transmission is guaranteed by

three V-belts (one for the hydrostatic axle and two for the PTO). Replace the belts as soon as

they show signs of wear!

Both their replacement and adjustment are very complex procedures and have to be carried our by

authorized dealers only.

ALWAYS USE ORIGINAL BLADES

HOW TO UNLOCK TRACTION

Traction is unlocked by using two levers (fig. 3, D and no. 5) that are located on the left side of the

handlebar. To tow the machine in case of a breakdown pull both levers at the same time.

CAUTION: Never pull these levers on slopes when the engine is running. The machine will move

downwards uncontrolled.

END OF SEASON MAINTENANCE

Thoroughly wash the machine. Replace the oil both in the engine and in the gearbox. Clean the air

filter. Sharpen and grease the blades or replace them if they are worn
