1.5 Firmware Update

Toupdatermwareorbootloader,theVC-2402mustgetthermwarelesfroman

FTPServerinwhichthermwareimageandchecksumlehavebeenput.

Note

It is suggested to set the ‘connection timeout’ of the FTP server

no less than 3 minutes (i.e. 180 seconds), in order to prevent

firmware update failure due to FTP timeout for some FTP servers.

Following paragraph describes the procedures and commands to use when users

wanttoupgradethermware/bootloaderbyusingCLI.

In CLI:

1.Login the CLI interface and check current system rmware partition or boot

loader version:

localhost:>show rmware partition

localhost:>show bootloader

2.PrepareanFTPserverandmakesuretheneededlesareputinit.

3.Make surethattheconnection between VC-2402andtheFTPserverisne.You

can use ‘ping <ip address>’ command to ping the FTP server from the CLI, or

you can ping the VC-2402 from the FTP server.
