Firmware Upgrade Mode

To enter Firmware Upgrade Mode, do the following:

1. Invoke HSM (see page 20).

2. Key in: upgrade

3. Press [Enter].

The front panel LEDs flash to indicate Firmware Upgrade Mode is in effect.

Note: To exit Firmware Upgrade Mode, you must power off the switch.

Hotkey Port Switching

To enable/disable hotkey port switching, do the

following:

1. Invoke HSM (see page 20).

2. Press [X] [Enter].

When disabled, port switching hotkeys [Scroll Lock] [Scroll Lock] (and the

alternative [Ctrl] [Ctrl]) will not work.

Keyboard Emulation Control

To enable/disable keyboard emulation, do the following:

1. Invoke HSM (see page 20

2. Press [N].

Keyboard Language Layout

To select keyboard layout, do the following:

1. Invoke HSM (see page 20).

2. Press [F6] [n] [n] [Enter].

[n] [n] combine to be a two digit number that represents the keyboard language

code.

Keyboard Operating Platform

The CS1822 / CS1824’s default port configuration is for a PC compatible
