Making frothed milk
Before frothing milk, remove condensate from the
steam supply system. Press the button «Steam
Supply» « » (Fig. 10) to start heating, while
the heating countdown time in seconds will be
shown on the display of the control panel (7)
(the «S» symbol is displayed on the right side of
the screen). Lower the metal tip into an empty
container of a suitable volume, and wait for the
steam to start coming out.
Take special care when steam and conden-
sate are coming out, do not touch the metal
tip. Risk of burns!
Wait a few seconds until the condensate along
with the hot steam exits the system, and then
press the button «Exit» « ».
After removing the condensate, start preparing
frothed milk.
1. Set the required angle of the steam supply
tube (8) and lower the metal tip of the tube
into a glass with cold milk or dairy cream. The
tip should not touch the bottom of the glass,
otherwise the steam outflow will be difficult,
few seconds are enough to get thick foam
(Fig. 11).
Note: To avoid spilling milk, always immerse the
metal tip to a depth of at least 1 cm below the sur-
face of the milk.
2. Press the button «Steam Supply» « » to
start frothing, while the process countdown
time in seconds will be shown on the display
of the control panel (7) (the «S» symbol is dis-
played on the right side of the screen).
Periodically raise and lower the container with
milk relative to the tip until the frothed milk is
formed that meets your needs.
3. If the quality and volume of the resulting
frothed milk meets your needs, press the but-
ton «Exit» « » to stop frothing.
If the time for preparing the frothed milk is not
enough, then during the frothing process (see the
digital countdown time on the control panel dis-
play), press the «+» button to increase the time for
preparing the frothed milk.
Note:
1. Each time after frothing the milk, lower the
metal tip of the steam supply tube into a cup
with clean water for rinsing. Then proceed in
the same way as when preparing frothed milk.
Wipe the surface of the metal tip and keep it
clean.
2. Remove the metal tip and rinse the steam sup-
ply tube in the same way so that the milk does
not stick to the inner wall and does not block
the steam outflow opening. Wipe the steam
supply tube with a clean cloth.
Selection of milk for preparing frothed milk
It is recommended to use unboiled natural cow
milk or soy milk, whether whole or pasteurized or
ultra-pasteurized. Ultra-pasteurized milk froths
better. Milk should be high in protein. The pro-
tein content is preferably 3% or more. You can
use both skim milk and 6%. For cappuccino it is
better to use rich milk of 3% and above, for latte
1.5-2.5%.
The higher the fat content, the denser and sweet-
er the froth in general and it lasts longer. Milk
should be as cold as possible, 2-6°C. That is from
the refrigerator. This affects the frothing. The
warmer the initial milk, the worse it froths.
