TO PROGRAM DIRECTORY NAMES AND ADDRESSES OR E-MAIL

ADDRESSES WITH ONE TOUCH

1. Press Utility.

2. In the Touch Panel screen, touch Scanner Address Input.

3. Touch any of the unused keys.

4. Using the keys displayed on the screen, enter the destination name.

The destination name can be up to 10 characters.

5. Touch Next.

6. If you want to enter an e-mail address, verify that the E-mail button is selected, and

type in the e-mail address.

Enter the e-mail address using the touch panel keys.

If you want to enter a Folder, touch Folder and then touch Symbol.

Enter the directory path using the touch panel keys.

7. Touch Enter.

Before using the fiery x3e follow these steps 16
Before you begin 16
If your site has an operator who controls all printing you may have access to the hold queue only in this case all jobs you send are spooled to the fiery x3e and held until the operator sends them to their next stage of processing 16
Lastly you may have access to the direct connection which sends jobs straight to the server without spooling 16
The administrator may or may not have enabled access to the server via the internet or an intranet if access is enabled a password may be required to use certain functions 16
These default settings can affect the results of your print jobs check with your administrator or operator for information on these default settings 16
You may also have access to the print queue if you send jobs to this queue jobs spool to the fiery x3e and proceed to rip and print according to your job settings unless someone you or an operator for example intervenes 16

If your system administrator has not enabled the connection to the print queue or the direct connection the corresponding names will not appear in this list for example if your site has an operator who controls the ﬂow of print jobs from command workstation you may be able to print only to the hold queue for more information on enabling printer connections see the conﬁguration guide 40

If the fiery x3e does not appear in the windows chooser list you must conﬁgure the chooser list to communicate with the fiery x3e for instructions see getting started 59
The windows and mac os versions of fiery scan are fundamentally the same differences are noted in this section where both windows or dialog boxes are illustrated the windows version comes ﬁrst followed by the mac os version 59

With fiery scan you ﬁrst create a prescan of the image then you can select part or all of the prescan for ﬁnal scanning 59
