The following table describes the labels in this screen.
15.10.5 RADIUS Server Setup
Use this screen to configure your RADIUS server settings. See Section 15.10.2 on page 579 for
more information on RADIUS servers and Section 15.11 on page 589 for RADIUS attributes utilized
by the authentication and accounting feature on the system. Click the RADIUS Advanced button
in the Sys > AAA screen to view the screen as shown.

LABEL DESCRIPTION
Privilege These are the command access levels.
Method Specify the database the system uses to check whether a user is authorized to execute
commands of the specific privilege level.
Make sure you set up the corresponding database properly before you select a method.
Select none to have the system not perform authorization (authorization will always be
successful).
Select local to have the system use its local database.
Select tacacs+ to have the system use your TACACS+ server.
Select tacacs+ then none to have the system use your TACACS+ server. If the TACACS+
server does not respond, the system does not perform authorization (authorization will
always be successful).
Select tacacs+ then local to have the system use your TACACS+ server and if the
TACACS+ server does not respond, use its local database.
Apply Click Apply to save the changes in this screen to the system’s volatile memory. The
system loses these changes if it is turned off or loses power, so use the Config Save link
on the navigation panel and then the Save button to save your changes to the non-
volatile memory when you are done configuring.
Cancel Click Cancel to begin configuring this screen afresh.
