The sample of optional band PSD mask and associated frequency band used in the Device is
shown next.
The “eu” number in the limit PSD mask is a tone index. A tone spacing, 4.3125 KHz, is used
for VDSL2 profile from 8a up to 17a. So “eu32” means the optional band ending at around
138 kHz. See more information in Section 16.4.5 on page 101.
16.4.5 VDSL2 Profiles
ITU-T G993.2 defines eight VDSL2 profiles (8a, 8b, 8c, 8d, 12a, 12b, 17a, and 30a) based on
each annex specifying spectral characters (Annexes A, B and C).
Note: At the time of writing, the IP DSLAM supports the Annex A with 8a, 8b, 8c, 8d,
12a, 12b, and 17a. The following table summarizes the VDSL2 profiles
supported by the IP DSLAM.
