General Description
7.5 Water heat exchanger
Evaporator
All SLS R134a units have a “Shell & Tube” water
heat exchanger with direct expansion multi refriger-
ant circuits. The tube bundle can be removed for in-
spection or maintenance.
The evaporators are insulated with UV ray-proof 19
mm-thick anti-condensate closed-cell polyethylene
material.The external surface is provided with wire
resistors (130 Watt), which prevent frosting at low
temperatures (down to –18°C) when the unit is off.
Desuperheater
All units are available with desuperheaters (DSH).
DSH is refrigerant / water heat exchanger with
brazed plates, of "Dual Circuit" type, fitted on the
compressor discharge pipe.
Each unit is equipped with 2 exchangers, one for
each circuit. Exchangers are insulated with UV ray-
proof 19 mm-thick anticondensate closed-cell poly-
ethylene material.
