Chapter 19 EFM Configuration
19.1 EFM Overview
EFM (ethernet of first mile), defined by IEEE 802.3ah, is for management and maitainenance
on P2P Ethernet link between two devices. There are five main functions: EFM node discovery,
remote failure indication, link monitoring, remote loopback and polling of MIB variables.
