ENGLISH PLEASE READ THIS INSTRUCTION CAREFULLY BEFORE USE AND RETAIN FOR FUTURE REFERENCE Caution The unit is only intended tor indoor use and not for outdoor use Normal use The unit is only intended for grilling suitable food No other use is permitted Any liability or guarantee will cease to apply in the event of damage caused by incorrect operation incorrect use and not observing the safety regulations SAFETY REGULATIONS Be careful when you use the unit Only connect the unit to an alternating current supply as per the type plate Do not allow the unit or cable to come into contact with extremely hot surfaces Do not use the cable rolled up this also applies to any extension cable used The socket must be easily accessible at any time to ensure that the unit can be disconnected quickly from the electricity supply Check the power cable and the unit regularly for damage Do not use the unit again if the power cable shows signs of damage or if the unit is itself Danger of injury if conditions RISK OF OVERHEATING Caution The grill rack heating element and housing get very hot when in use Therefore put the unit somewhere where it can t be touched accidentally Caution Never use charcoal or similar fuels on the electric grill Do not touch the grill rack and heating element Only use the unit when the aluminium reflector is immersed in water The operating instructions belong to the unit and must be handed over too if the unit is passed on Do not use any accessories that are not expressly approved by the manufacturer 2 SPECIAL SAFETY HINTS OPERATION Ensure that the thermostat is inserted correctly into the base Otherwise the unit cannot be used The thermostat is fitted with a safety switch The heating element switches off automatically if the thermostat is removed from the unit Do not touch the heating element when it is on It gets extremely hot WARNING Charcoal or similar combustible fuels must not be used with this appliance Minimum quantity of water to be poured into the appliance is 1 11 Maximum quantity of water to be poured into the appliance is 1 41 Water has to be on the aluminum reflector Switch the unit on and set the required temperature with the thermostat knob To do this turn the MIN MAX knob clockwise the unit heats up automatically to the set temperature and then it turns the heating off The control light comes on while it is heating up Should the temperature fall below the set temperature the the unit starts to heat up again Thus a constant temperature is maintained The grill rack can be placed at various heights to ensure the optimum distance between the food and the heating element Power consumption depends on the thermostat setting For lengthy grilling it is advisable to set the temperature as high as possible When you finish grilling turn the thermostat knob to MIN the unit will now cool down Take the plug out of the socket The cooling process will take some time Do not move the unit until it has cooled down Please hold onto the supporting feet when transporting the whole grill because the grill and base are not firmly fixed to each other ASSEMBLING THE UNIT First of all unpack everything and refer to the illustrations for installation Fit the heating element Ensure that the safety switch is fitted to the edge of the base Fit the blower insert it into the base as shown in the illustration Fit the aluminium grill rack over the heating element Attach the four feet one after the other under the base by turning them clockwise Tighten the screws Also please follow figures 1 8 instruction to assemble the product accordingly Step 1 Tighten support shelf part 16 and feet part 17 with M5 screws pic 1 Step 2 Put pillar of part 4 upper handle correct into holes of part 7 pan Tighten part 4 upper handle with part 6 lower handle with screws as shown on picture 2 Step 3 Connet step 1 and 2 with part 9 pic 3 4 Step 4 pic 5 6 Insert the reflecting plane Put the control box pic 5A including heating element to the foreseen spot compare with picture from step 3 Feet of heating elements put into the right holes Step 5 Put support shelf centrally and put its feet into the foreseen square holes as shown on picture 7 Caution NEVER use the unit without water in the base tray The water level must be between the MIN MAX marks Grilling This unit can be used to grill sausages meat fish etc Don t use materials like charcoal or wood for grilling Do not cover the grill rack with film aluminium foil or transparent film for example CLEANING 1 Before cleaning remove the plug from the socket and let the unit cool down 2 Remove the heating element from the base 3 Then remove the base the outer heat retaining cover and the grill rack Do not use any cleaning agents Do not clean the unit with scourers to avoid scratching it NEVER immerse the plug the power cable the heating element or the thermostat in liquids These parts must only be wiped over with a dry cloth 4 The grill rack can be cleaned with a soft brush 3 ENGLISH Children or people under the influence of drugs or alcohol may only use the unit under supervision Ensure that children do not have the opportunity to play with electrical equipment Leave the unit to cool down after use before you pick it up and put it away Never put plastic parts or any other items except for the food to be grilled on the grill rack Watch out of for fat splashing when grilling meat Risk of burns Do not use any plastic cutlery to put the food on the grill rack turn it or remove it The unit must never be used under a running extractor fan or wall cupboards Never cover the grill rack completely when it is operating e g with aluminium foil because otherwise the heat cannot be dissipated This appliance is not intended for use by persons including children with reduced physical sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge Unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliances by a person responsible for their safety If the supply cord is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard Do
