ENGINE DISASSEMBLY ENG CRANKCASE LOWER 1 Remove Plate Q 2 Remove Bolts crankcase Al Crankcase upper LBJ Crankcase lower NOTE Loosen the bolts 1 4 turn each and remove t after all are loosened Loosen the bolts starting with the highest n bered one The embossed numbers in the crankcase er designate the tightening sequence 3 Remove Lower crankcase i ACAUTION __________________________ Use a soft hammer to tap on the case Tap only on reinforced portions of the c Do not tap on the gasket mating surf Work slowly and carefully Make sure the case halves separate evenly 4 Remove Dowel pin 0 4 23
