DRIVE CHAIN LUBRICATION STEERING HEAD ADJUSTMENT INSP ADJ 6 Install Cotter pin ACAUTION _______________________ Do not loosen the axle nut after torque t ening If the axle nut groove is not align with the cotter pin hole align groove wi the hole by tightening up on the axle nu AWARNING Always use a new cotter pin DRIVE CHAIN LUBRICATION The chain consists of many parts wh against each other If the chain is not m properly it will wear out rapidly theref the habit of periodically servicing the ch service is especially necessary when dusty conditions This motorcycle has a drive chain with s ber O rings between the chain plates cleaning high pressure washes and ce vents can damage these O rings Use o sene to clean the drive chain Wipe it thoroughly lubricate it with SAE 30 5 tor oil Do not use any other lubrican drive chain They may contain solvents damage the O rings STEERING HEAD ADJUSTMENT AWARNING Securely support the motorcycle so the no danger of it falling over 1 Elevate the front wheel by placing stand under the engine 2 Check Steering assembly bearings Grasp the bottom of the forks and g rock the fork assembly back and for Looseness Adjust steering head 3 41
