FUEL PUMP CAR Fuel level gauge y 90890 01312 Loosen the drain screw and warm engine for several minutes Hold the gauge vertically next to the chamber line 4 Measure the fuel level a with the g NOTE _______________ _ ______ Fuel level readings of both side of ca line should be equal If the fuel level is incorrect adjust th level Remove the carburetor Inspect the valve seat and needle va If either is worn replace them both If both are fine adjust float level by b the float tang 5 slightly Install the carburetor Recheck the fuel level FUEL PUMP PUMP OPERATION INSPECTION 1 Inspect Fuel pump operation Operation inspection steps Turn the fuel cocks Right and left to Disconnect the fuel hose from the ca tor fuel pump carburetor Place the receptacle under the fuel Turn the main switch to ON Push the starter switch Check the fuel flows out from the fue end If fuel does not flow out replac pump assembly or refer to FUEL SPECTION section
