c) Remove the valves and seats (5) with the aid of a

screwdriver.

d) Check the condition of the component parts and replace

any worn ones.

• Everytimearemovaloperationisperformed,thevalvesealsarebestreplaced.

SpecIAL MAINTeNANce – ReMOVING THe pUMpING UNIT

In case of any unusual  uctuations on the delivery pressure gauge and/or drops in pressure, the high and low-pressure

seals will have to be checked. Each seal support should be marked, so they can be  tted back on in the same order

and original position.

With regard to component numbering, refer to the exploded drawing in Fig. 3.

a) Remove the hydraulic part as described in the previous paragraph.

b) Remove the seal supports (7), being careful not to

damage the plungers.

c) Position the seal supports in a vice, being careful not to

damage them; loosen the screws (11) and remove the

supports.

d) Check the condition of the component parts and replace

any worn ones.

e) Lubricate the low-pressure seals with silicone grease (8).

f) Lubricate the high-pressure seals with graphite grease (12).

cAUTION

• Everytimearemovaloperationisperformed,weadvisereplacingalltheO-ringsandthehighandlow-pressureseals.
