Special Safety Precautions for this Device
WARNING: Risk of injury!
• Unplug from outlet when the hand blender is not in use,
before the assembly or disassembly, and before clean-
ing.
• Close supervision is necessary when the hand blender
is used by children.
• Do not touch moving parts and wait until the appliances
come to a standstill.
• The blade of the bar mixer is very sharp! It should there-
fore be handled with extreme caution!
• The cutting, grating, and shredding inserts and the chop-
ping knife are very sharp on the cutting and shredding
surfaces, and on the edges! You will come into contact
with these attachments when tting or removing parts
and during cleaning. Use these parts with the necessary
caution.
• When pressing the food down, always use the correct
pusher and not your ngers, a fork, or other objects.
• Make sure that the motor casing is not wet. Switching on
a wet motor can result in electric shock or short circuit.
CAUTION:
Do not use the chopping knife to cut up any hard food, for
example nutmeg or large pieces of cooking chocolate. The
blade can be damaged!
CAUTION:
Do not use the cutting, grating, and rasping set to process
soft cheese (e.g. Gouda), hard cheese (e.g. Parmesan), and
cooking chocolate.
• Ensure that the mains power cable does not touch hot
surfaces (e.g. hot pots).
• Set the work bowl onto a smooth, even, and sturdy work
surface.
• Do not remove the lid during operation.
• Do not carry or lift the set during operation, but rst release
the button of the hand blender and remove the power plug.
Intended Use
This appliance serves as a
• Hand mixer for the pureeing, mixing or whisking of food
and beverages;
• Cutting and shredding set for the chopping of easy-to-cut
food.
It is designed exclusively for this purpose and may only be
used therefor.
It may only be used in the manner described in this instruction
manual.
The appliance may not be used for commercial purposes.
Any other use is considered not as intended and may lead to
damage to property or even personal injury.
The manufacturer assumes no liability for damage resulting
from use other than the intended purpose.

Unpacking the appliance
1. Remove the appliance from its packaging.
2. Remove all packaging materials such as lms, ller mate-
rial, cable clips and carton.
3. Check the contents for completeness.
NOTE:
Production residue or dust may have collected on the appli-
ance. We recommend cleaning the appliance according to
chapter “Cleaning”.
Instructions for use
Electrical Connection
Ensure that your mains power corresponds with the specica-
tions on the type label.
Motor housing
• You can use the motor housing (4) for either the hand mixer
/ the egg beater, or for the cutting and shredding set.
• After you have connected the motor housing to the mains,
the knob will light up blue.
Switching on / off
• The device can be turned on with the pushbutton
or
TURBO.
