SNMP Commands
This chapter covers commands for configuring the VOP’s Simple Network
Management Protocol (SNMP) settings.
29.1 SNMP Commands
The following table describes common required values in SNMP commands. Other
values are discussed with the corresponding commands.
The following is a list of the SNMP commands.

sys snmp getcommunity
<community>
Sets the password for the incoming Get- and GetNext-
requests from the management station.

sys snmp setcommunity
<community>
Sets the password for the incoming Set- requests from the
management station.

sys snmp trustedhost <ip-
address>
Specifies the IP address a trusted host.
If you enter a specific IP address, the VOP will only
respond to SNMP messages from this address. You can
use the sys client set command to specify additional IP
addresses, if necessary. See Table 62 on page 171 for
more information about this command.
If you specify 0.0.0.0, the VOP responds to all SNMP
messages it receives, regardless of the settings for the
sys client set command.

Sets the password sent with each trap to the SNMP
manager.
