CHAPTER 15
Static Routing
This chapter shows you how to configure the static routing function.
Static routes tell the VOP how to forward the VOP’s own IP traffic when you
configure the TCP/IP parameters manually. This is generally useful for allowing
management of the device from a device with an IP address on a different subnet
from that of the device’s IP address (remote management).
To open this screen, click Routing Protocol > Static Routing.

LABEL DESCRIPTION
Use this section to create a new static route.
Name Type a name to identify this static route. Use up to 31 ASCII
characters. Spaces and tabs are not allowed.
Destination IP
Address
This parameter specifies the IP network address of the final
destination. Routing is always based on network number. If you need
to specify a route to a single host, use a subnet mask of
255.255.255.255 in the subnet mask field to force the network
number to be identical to the host ID.
