The transceiver does
not turn ON.
• Bad connection to the power supply. Check the connection between the battery-
and the transceiver.

No sound comes from
the speaker.
• Squelch level is too high.
Volume level is too low.
• Speaker has been exposed to water.
• Internal speaker is turned OFF.
• Set [SQL] to the threshold point.
• Adjust [VOL] to a suitable level.
• Clear water from the speaker.
Turn the internal speaker ON in the Set
mode.
