70 Function
6.2 Thermostat Sensor in Remote Controller
Temperature is controlled by both the thermostat sensor in remote controller and air suction
thermostat in the indoor unit. (This is however limited to when the field setting for the thermostat
sensor in remote controller is set to “Use.”)
Cooling If there is a significant difference in the preset temperature and the suction temperature, fine
adjustment control is carried out using a body thermostat sensor, or using the sensor in the
remote controller near the position of the user when the suction temperature is near the preset
temperature.
Ex: When cooling
Assuming the preset temperature in the figure above is 75°F, and the suction
temperature has changed from 64°F to 86°F (A
→ F):
(This example also assumes there are several other air conditioners, the VRV system is off, and
that temperature changes even when the thermostat sensor is off.)
Body thermostat sensor is used for temperatures from 64°F to 73°F (A
→
C).
Remote controller thermostat sensor is used for temperatures from 73°F to 81°F (C
→
E).
Body thermostat sensor is used for temperatures from 81°F to 86°F (E
→
F).
And, assuming suction temperature has changed from 86°F to 64°F (F
→ A):
Body thermostat sensor is used for temperatures from 86°F to 77°F (F
→
D).
Remote controller thermostat sensor is used for temperatures from 77°F to 70°F (D
→
B).
