INSTRUCTION MANUAL
BARBECUE
PLEASE READ THIS INSTRUCTION CAREFULLY
BEFORE USE AND RETAIN FOR FUTURE
REFERENCE
Normal use
• The unit is only intended for grilling suitable
food.
• No other use is permitted! Any liability or
guarantee will cease to apply in the event
of damage caused by incorrect operation,
incorrect use and not observing the safety
regulations.
SAFETY REGULATIONS
WARNING:
• This grill is intended to be used as an indoor
electric grill, or outdoor charcoal grill. It
should only be used for grilling food.
• DO NOT USE INDOORS OR IN AN ENCLOSED
SPACE WITH CHARCOAL, (e.g.,garage,
porch, breezeway, camper, tent, car, or
interior home space, or any space with an
overhanging roof structure, etc.). Burning
charcoal produces carbon monoxide which is
an odorless toxic gas that may cause serious
injury or death.
• When cooking outdoors with charcoal,
the grill must be placed on heat-resistant
surfaces, such as brick, stone, concrete or
asphalt. Use of the grill with charcoal on non-
heat resistant surfaces such as wood, plastic
or other combustible surfaces may cause
damage or re. The grill exterior surfaces may
reach temperatures exceeding 315°C when
used with charcoal.
• Never move or transport the grill when in use
or not fully cooled.
• Do not attempt to extinguish a grease
re with water or other liquids.It is
recommended that you have an ABC re
extinguisher nearby at all times.
• Keep animals away from the grill while in use
and until it is cool.
• Do not use charcoal with electric heating
element.
• Do not use charcoal indoors. Burning
charcoal or charcoal residue produces
carbon monoxide which may cause serious
injury or death.
• Do not attempt to modify the plug in any
way. Use only a properly grounded 230
VAC outlet. Always attach the plug to the
appliance rst, and then plug the cord into
the wall outlet. Turn the control knob to the
OFF position before unplugging. If the plug
ts loosely into the outlet, or if the outlet
feels warm, do not use that outlet.
• The use of extension cords is not
recommended. However, if you do
decide that it can be used safely in your
environment, they must be the same three-
wire, grounded type, and the electrical
rating at least as great as the appliance cord
(0.75 mm²).
• Be careful when you use the unit
• Do not allow the unit or cable to come into
contact with extremely hot surfaces.
• Do not use the cable rolled up. (this also
applies to any extension cable used)
• The socket must be easily accessible at
any time to ensure that the unit can be
disconnected quickly from the electricity
supply.
• Check the power cable and the unit regularly
for damage.
• Do not use the unit again if the power cable
shows signs of damage or if the unit is itself.
• Danger of injury if necessary remove the
plug carefully and contact your specialist
dealer or customer service.
• Do not store or use any easily inammble
materials or sprays near the unit when it is in
use danger of re.
• Do not use the unit in easily combustible
atmospheres (e.g near inammable gases or
spray cans).
• Danger of explosion and re do not use
the unit in rooms with baths, showers or
swimming pools or near wash basins or taps.
• Children or people under the inuence of
drugs or alcohol may only use the unit under
supervision.
• Ensure that children do not have the
opportunity to play with electrical
equipment.
• Leave the unit to cool down after use before
you pick it up and put it away.
• Never put plastic parts or any other items
except for the food to be grilled on the grill
rack.
• Watch out of for fat splashing when grilling
meat. Risk of burns
• Do not use any plastic cutlery to put the food
on the grill rack, turn it or remove it.
• This appliance is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities,
or lack of experience and knowledge.
Unless they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliances
by a person responsible for their safety.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, its service
agent or similarly qualied persons in order
to avoid a hazard.
• Do not operate with an external timer or
remote-control device.
• The connector must be removed before the
appliance is cleaned and that the appliance
inlet must be dried before the appliance is
used again.
• Never bring the extension wire in touch with
the hot grill plate.
• Always switch o the appliance before
removing the mains plug.
• Place the appliance on a surface that is
resistant to heat. Keep the electric grill at
least 10 cm from any walls when in operation.
• The operating instructions belong to the unit
and must be handed over too if the unit is
passed on.
• Do not use any accessories that are not
expressly approved by the manufacturer.

WARNING
Some metal parts may have sharp edges. Wear
gloves or exercise caution when handling parts
to reduce the chance of cuts or injury.
1. To assemble the lid, align the handle with
the holes in the lid. Insert a screw through
the tops of each hole, and place a silicone
washer, then a metal washer over the screws.
Fasten with wingnuts. (Fig. 2a)
2. To assemble each leg, align the leg with the
holes in the body. Insert a screw through the
bottoms of each hole, and place a silicone
washer, then a metal washe r over the screws.
Fasten with wingnuts. (Fig. 2b)
3. Insert the drip tray by aligning the tray
with the tracks on the bottom of the grill
body. Push the tray in until it is fully in place
underneath the opening. (Fig. 2c)
4. To secure the locking latch, pull up on the
bottom portion. Position the top portion of
the latch over the rim of the lid. Push down
the bottom portion of the locking latch.

INDOOR/OUTDOOR ELECTRIC GRILL
SET UP, USE AND CARE (Fig. 3)
1. Ensure entire grill is thoroughly clean before
use.
2. To install the electric heating elem:
a. Insert the connection plug of the electric
heating element from the inside through the
opening. The notch of the plug should rest in
the opening (inset A).
b. Insert the support hooks of the element
into the holes in the top of the grill body
(inset B).
c. Then x the element by xing sheet with
wingnuts. (inset C)
d. Attach the control unit probe into the
heating element connection, making sure
that it is fully seated.
e. Place the grill grate over the electric
heating element, making sure the support
hooks are aligned.
3. If doing the initial conditioning inside,
place the grill on a heat-safe surface near a
hood. Turn on the hood to vent the smoke
produced.
4. Turn the temperature control dial to your
desired heat setting and place the lid on to
preheat the grill grate.
5. After you thoroughly clean your grill, it is
recommended to store it in a clean, dry area.
Leave all the vents open so moisture doesn’t
collect inside and cause rust.
6. If you store your grill outside, close the top
vent to keep rain out. Store the heating
element and power cord inside to prevent
premature wear and damage.
WARNING
When converting from outdoor charcoal grill
to indoor electric grill, be sure to thoroughly
clean the grill and wipe out all charcoal
remnants and residue. If charcoal remnants or
residue remain when using the electric heating
element it may produce carbon monoxide
which may cause serious injury or death.
