To get the best avor from your rst grilling and
remove any manufacturing oils, “break-in” your
grill before cooking for the rst time. Break in
the electric heating element to remove the new-
appliance smell before cooking for the rst time.
Once the grill is assembled, plug in the electric
heating element, set the control on HIGH and let
the grill run for about 10 minutes.
• When using your grill for the rst time,
the paint on the outside of the grill may
change color slightly as a result of the high
temperatures. This is normal and should be
expected.
• Keep the grill at least 12 inches (30.5 cm)
away from combustible materials when in
use.
• Do not oil the grill. Oiling the grill will create
excessive smoke and will not improve
performance.
• The red light on the grill temperature control
indicates that the power is on and that the
heating element is heating. The light will
turn on and o periodically, as the heating
element adjusts to maintain the temperature.
WARNING
When the red light is o, the heating element
may still be hot. To prevent burns make sure
that the control is turned to o and the grill
is unplugged and completely cool before
touching the heating element.
CLEANING AND
LOOKING AFTER THE APPLIANCE
• Disconnect the appliance from the mains
electricity supply.
• Allow the grill to cool completely.
• Take the detachable temperature regulator
out of the appliance socket.
• Grill grate: hand wash with dish soap and
water.
• Do not use abrasive cleansers like steel wool,
cleansers with bleach, or oven-cleaning
solutions as they may permanently damage
the surface and void the guarantee.
• Remove ashes after each time you cook.
Make sure ashes are cold before discarding.
• Wipe the base of the appliance with a damp
cloth. Fat splashes can be removed with a
mild cleaning agent.
Protect the appliance from dust and dirt if it is
not to be used for a prolonged length of time
(wrap it in a plastic bag). Store it in a dry place.
DISPOSAL
Disable unserviceable appliances immediately.
Remove the mains plug and cut up the
mains connection cable. If possible, bring
unserviceable appliances to an ocial waste
collection point. Most local authorities provide
removal services for bulky refuse at least once
a year.

specialist personnel.

SICHERHEITSHINWEISE
WARNUNG:
• Dieses Grill ist für die Verwendung als
elektrischer Innenraumgrill oder als
Holzkohlegrill im Freien bestimmt. Er sollte
nur für grillbare Lebensmittel benutzt
werden.
• NICHT MIT GLÜHENDER HOLZKOHLE IN
INNENRÄUMEN ODER UMSCHLOSSENEN
BEREICHEN (z. B. in Garagen, auf Verandas,
unter überdachten Durchgängen, in
Wohnmobilen, in Zelten, in KFZs, in
Innenraumbereichen, unter Bereichen mit
überhängendem Dach usw.) BENUTZEN.
Durch glühende Holzkohle entsteht
Kohlenmonoxid, das ein farbloses giftiges
Gas ist und zu schweren Verletzungen oder
Tod führen kann.
• Wenn Sie mit glühender Holzkohle grillen,
dann muss der Grill auf einer feuerfesten
Oberäche wie beispielsweise Ziegel, Stein,
Beton oder Asphalt stehen. Die Benutzung
des auf nicht feuerfesten Oberächen wie
beispielsweise Holz, Kunststo oder andere
entammbare Oberächen stehenden
Grills mit glühender Holzkohle kann zu
Beschädigungen oder Brand führen.
Während der Benutzung mit glühender
Holzkohle kann die Grillaußenseite über
315°C heiß werden.
• Transportieren oder bewegen Sie den Grill
niemals, wenn er gerade benutzt wird oder
er nicht vollständig abgekühlt ist.
• Löschen Sie niemals brennendes Öl mit
Wasser oder anderen Flüssigkeiten. Es ist
empfehlenswert, dass Sie jederzeit einen
ABC-Feuerlöscher sofort gribereit haben.
• Halten Sie Tiere vom Grill solange fern,
solange er benutzt wird oder er noch nicht
vollständig abgekühlt ist.
• Benutzen Sie niemals das Heizelement
zusammen mit Holzkohle.
• Benutzen Sie in Innenräumen niemals
Holzkohle. Durch glühende Holzkohle
entsteht Kohlenmonoxid, das zu schweren
Verletzungen oder Tod führen kann.
• Modizieren Sie den Netzstecker
in keinster Weise. Benutzen Sie nur
eine ordnungsgemäß geerdete
230-V-Netzsteckdose. Stecken Sie zuerst
immer den Netzstecker in das Gerät und
erst danach in die Netzsteckdose. Stellen
Sie den Temperaturregler auf AUS, bevor
Sie den Netzstecker aus der Netzsteckdose
ziehen. Wenn der Netzstecker locker in der
Netzsteckdose sitzt oder die Netzsteckdose
warm wird, dann benutzen Sie diese
Netzsteckdose nicht mehr.
• Die Verwendung eines Verlängerungskabels
ist nicht empfehlenswert. Wenn Sie jedoch
der Meinung sind, es in Ihrem Umfeld sicher
benutzen zu können, dann muss es ein
geerdetes dreiadriges Verlängerungskabel
sein, das dieselben oder höhere Nennwerte
