DETAILED SAFETY REGULATIONS
• Use additional handles supplied with the tool. Loss of control may
cause operator personal injury.
CAUTION! This device is designed to operate indoors.
The design is assumed to be safe, protection measures and
additional safety systems are used, nevertheless there is always
a small risk of operational injuries.
CONSTRUCTION AND USE
Spade handle drill is a hand-held power tool with insulation class II.
It is driven by single-phase commutator motor with rotational speed
reduced with gear transmission. This type of power tools is widely
used for making holes in wood, wood-like materials and metal, and
mixing paints, lacquers, adhesives, mortars etc. Range of use covers
repair and building works, woodworking and any work from the scope
of individual, amateur activities (tinkering).
Use the power tool according to the manufacturer’s instructions
only.

PREPARATION FOR OPERATION
INSTALLATION OF THE HANDLE
Due to personal safety issues it is recommended to always use
additional handles.

Possibility to install the rear handle (3) in one of the 3 available
positions allows to choose the position most comfortable for specific
working conditions.
Install he front handle (2) by screwing it into the hole in the spade
handle drill body.
INSTALLATION OF WORKING TOOLS
Disconnect the power tool from power supply.
• Insert key into one of the holes on the circumference of the drill
chuck (1).
• Open jaws to desired dimension.
• Insert cylindrical shank of the working tool into the drill chuck, push
it to the limit.
• Tighten jaws on working tool shank with the key (insert it into three
holes on the drill chuck circumference).
Remember to always remove the key from the drill chuck after
you nish installation or removal of a working tool.
OPERATION / SETTINGS
SWITCHING ON / SWITCHING OFF
The mains voltage must match the voltage on the rating plate of
the spade handle drill.
Switching on – press the switch button (5) and hold in this position.
Switching o – release pressure on the switch (5).
Locking the switch (continuous operation)
Switching on:
• Press the switch button (5) and hold in this position.
• Press the switch lock button (4) (g. A).
• Release pressure on the switch button (5).
Switching o:
• Press and release the switch button (5).
Range of rotational speed of the spindle is controlled with
pressure on the switch button.
WHEEL FOR SPINDLE ROTATIONAL SPEED CONTROL
Spade handle drill allows for operation with different spindle speeds.
It can be controlled with the wheel for spindle speed adjustment (6)
(g. A).
• Turn right to increase the spindle speed.
• Turn left to reduce the spindle speed.
Choose appropriate rotational spindle speed when the spade handle
drill operates with no load, with switch lock button pressed. Speed
that is set in this way may decrease under load.
LEFT – RIGHT DIRECTION OF ROTATION
Use direction selector switch (7) to choose direction of rotation of the
spade handle drill spindle.
Clockwise rotation – set the direction selector switch (7) to the
extreme left position.
Counter-clockwise rotation – set the direction selector switch (7) to
the extreme right position.
