Only slacken the retaining straps as far as
is
possible
withoutthe
motorcycle falling over. Raise the motorcycle
with suitable lifting gear (e.g. crane) and unfasten the
straps. Release the brake caliper on the fork
sl
ider tube on
both sides and the brake
li
ne holder.
Allow the brake calipers to hang down freely.
Slacken
offthe
retaining screws (arrows) on either side
and remove machine screw (1) from quick-release axl
e.
Pu

out quick-release axl
e.
Lower the motorcycle until the front wheel need not be
raised for assembly.
From the right-hand si
de
ofthe
motorcycle, push in the
quick-release axle through the clamp block and wheel as
far as the stop. Do not forget the spacing sleeve (2) on the
left-hand side. Insert machine screw (1) with shim (3) and
tighten. Only tighten the retaining screws (arrows) on the
left-hand side.
Tightening torque:

Push the brake ca

per onto the brake disc, noting the gap
between the brake pads; carefully force apart a s
li
ght
distance with a suilable wedge if necessary. Affix brake
ca
li
per retaining screws (arrow) and washers, and tighten.
Secure the brake line holder to the s
li
der tube.
Tightening torque:
Machine screw
32 ±
2Nm
Lower the motorcycle and remove from crate base.
Compress the telescopic fork a few
limes
wilh
Ihe
handbrake applied. Tighten
Ihe
relaining screws
forlhe
quick-
re
lease axle on the right-hand side.
The
compressing action is intended to e
li
minate stresses
in thefork.
