MAINTENANCE SPARK PLUG Rear cylinder only Remove the seat page 2 2 it may be Remove the fuel tank rear mounting nut and bolt necessary to slightly lift the tank to remove tne mounting boll Rear cylinder only Raise the rear of the fuel tank and support it with the maintenance bar in the supplied tool kit Roth cylinders Disconnect the spark plug caps and clean around the spark plug bases NOTE ______________ Clean around the spark plug bases with compress ed air before removing the plugs and be sure that no debris is allowed to enter the combustion cham ber Remove the spark plugs Check the insulator for cracks or damage and the electrodes fur wear fouling or discoloration Re place the plug if necessaryIf the electrode is contaminated with carbon depos its clean the electrode using the spark plug cleaner CAUTION This motorcycle s spark plug is equipped with platinum type electrodes Do not use wire brush to clean the electrodes The plug cleaner should be used with the air pressure of less than 6 kgf cnT 8b psi I and for less than 20 seconds Replace the plug if the center electrode is rounded as shown Always use specified spark plugs on this motorcycle SPECIFIED SPARKPLUG DPR9EVX 9 NGK INSULATOR ELECTRODE
