MAINTENANCE HEADLIGHT AIM WARNING An improperly adjusted headlight may blind oncoming drivers or it may fail to light the road for a safe distance Adjust headlight beam as specif ied by locai laws and regulations Place the motorcycle on a level surface Adjust vertically by turning the vertical adjusting screw Adjust horizontally by turning the horizontal adjust ing screw CLUTCH SYSTEM Operate the clutch lever and check that no air has entered the system lithe clutch is not disengaged properly ortho lever feels soft or spongy bleed the air from the system Refer to page 9 4 for air bleeding procedures Inspect the clutch hoses pipe and fittings for dam age deter ioration cracks or signs of leakage I ighten any loose fittings Replace hoses pipe and finings as required CLUTCH LEVER ADJUSTMENT The distance between the tip of the clutch lever and the grip can be adjusted by turning the adjuster CAUTION Align the arrow on the clutch lever with the index mark on the adjuster HORIZONTAL ADJUSTING SCREW
