REMOTE SWITCHED PORT ANALYZER COMMANDS
The Remote Switched Port Analyzer (RSPAN) commands in the Command Line Interface (CLI) are listed (along
with the appropriate parameters) in the following table.

Each command is listed in detail, as follows:
enable rspan
Purpose
Used to enable the RSPAN function. The purpose of the RSPAN
function is to mirror packets to a remote switch. A packet travels
from the Switch where the monitored packet is received, passing
through the intermediate switch, and then to the Switch where the
sniffer is attached. The first switch is also named the source switch.
To make the RSPAN function work, the RSPAN VLAN source
setting must be configured on the source switch. For the
intermediate and the last switch, the RSPAN VLAN redirect setting
must be configured.
Syntax
enable rspan
Description
The enable rspan command is used to enable the RSPAN function.
Parameters None.
Restrictions Only Administrator, operator and power user-level users can issue
this command.
Example usage:
To enable RSPAN state:
DGS-1210-28MP/ME:5# enable rspan
Command: enable rspan
Success.
DGS-1210-28MP/ME:5#
