Epson GT-9500 [32/54] Set read area

Epson GT-9500 [32/54] Set read area
30 7/8/96-B
Set read area
(1) Code: ESC A
ASCII: ESC A n1 n2 n3 n4
decimal: 27,65 n1 n2 n3 n4
hexadecimal: 1B,41 n1 n2 n3 n4
(2) Function: Sets the reading area of main scan and sub scan from the origin, in the number of the
current resolution pixels. The reading length of the main scan is specified in unit of 8
steps.
The values are:
n1 : main scan offset data (2 bytes)
n2 : sub scan offset data (2 bytes)
n3 : main scan read area (2 bytes)
n4 : sub scan read area (2 bytes)
Maximum reading area:
Where the resolution is R dpi, and zooming is H %, the data for the
maximum reading area is obtained with the following calculation.
Main scan( n1 + n3 ): 8*INT[((5100/600)*R*H/100)/8]
Sub scan ( n2 + n4 ): INT[(7020/600)*R*H/100]
INT[ ] is a function to get an integer
ex1) resolution is 200 DPI and zoom is 100%, the maximum reading area is
calculated as follows:
n1 + n3 = 1696, n2 + n4 = 2340
ex2) resolution is 300 DPI and zoom is 86%, the maximum reading area is
following:
n1 + n3 = 2192, n2 + n4 = 3018
Default values: n1 = 0, n2 = 0, n3 = 848, n4 = 1170
(3) Handshaking
1) ESC A code
2) ACK ( 06H )
3) The reading area parameters n1, n2, n3 and n4
NOTE: The reading area is reset when resolution or zooming is set.
Therefore, those settings should be made before setting the reading area.
NOTE: The limit of n3 is (n3 16368)
