• Do not tilt the grass trimmer when switching the motor on.
• Never install metal cutting parts.
• Be careful not to cut yourself with the blade for cutting string length
adjustment.
• Make sure the ventilation holes are free from any impurities.
• Before the tool is switched on, make sure you hold the grass trimmer
rmly with both hands.
• Never keep your hands or feet close to rotating parts.
• Remove the plug from the mains socket:
• whenever you go away from the tool;
• before checking, cleaning or repairing the tool;
• after the tool is hit with another object – always make sure the tool
is not damaged;
• when the tool starts to vibrate excessively.
• Only authorised people should repair the grass trimmer.
• Use only spare parts recommended by the manufacturer.

PREPARATION FOR OPERATION
ASSEMBLY/DISASSEMBLY OF THE GRASS TRIMMER
The grass trimmer is delivered in a disassembled state to be assembled
according to the below described order. The grass trimmer is easy to
store owing to separable components.
• Connect by inserting the lower piece (7) into the upper piece (5) of the
grass trimmer until the protection latch clicks (6) (g. A).
• The grass trimmer is disassembled by pressing the protection latch (6)
and sliding out the lower piece (7) from the upper piece (5) (g. B).
INSTALLATION OF THE GUARD
Do not use the grass trimmer without the guard in place.
• Tighten partially loosened head fastening screws (11) into the head
housing (8).
• Place the guard (9) onto the head housing (8) so that the housing
latch (9) engages with its guiding.
• Make sure the cutting string is not under the guard (9).
• Fasten the guard (9) using loosened guard fastening screws (11) (g. C).
SECURING THE EXTENSION CORD
Only extension cords intended for outdoor use can be used with the
grass trimmer. The cross section of the extension cord wires should be
at least 1.5 mm
2
and the maximum length should not exceed 60 m. To
ensure safe movements of the grass trimmer, put the extension cord
through the power cord holder (4) (g. D) located in the main handle
(3). This eliminates excessive tension of the power cord during operation
of the grass trimmer.
OPERATION / SETTINGS
SWITCHING ON AND OFF
The mains voltage must correspond to the voltage values given on
the rating plate of the grass trimmer.
Switching on – press the switch button (2) (g. E).
Switching o – release the pressure on the switch button (2).
The cutting elements keep rotating for some time, after the motor
is switched o. Keep the unwound power cord away from cutting
elements. Do not attempt to lock the switch in the switched on
position.
Do not use the grass trimmer, while it rains or in wet areas. If the
extension cord becomes damaged, immediately disconnect the
plug from the main socket. Do not work with a damaged extension
