Chapter 8
The WinClient Viewer
Overview
The WinClient (Windows Client) viewer allows users to remotely access the
KVM ports of the connected RCM devices.
The WinClient Control Panel
The control panel may be hidden at the upper center of the screen. It becomes
visible when you move the mouse pointer over it:
Note: 1. The above image shows the complete Control Panel. The icons that
appear can be customized. See Control Panel Configuration,
page 62, for details.
2. To move the Control Panel to a different location on the screen, place
the mouse pointer over the text bar area, then click and drag.
By default, the upper text row shows the video resolution of the remote
display. As the mouse pointer moves over the icons, the information in the
upper text row changes to describe the icon's function. Also, if another
user has typed a message in the Message Board, it will be displayed in the
upper text row.
The lower text row shows the IP address of the device (on the left) and the
bus (centered, before the slash) you are accessing, as well as the number of
users on the same bus (centered, behind the slash).
Right-clicking the text row area brings up the same menu options, with the
function name next to each icon. These functions are discussed in the
sections that follow.
