CAUTION If the kick shaft or gear change shaft oil seal is removed it must be replaced Remove them only if they appear to be damaged b Tachometer Gear Pull out the tachometer gear assembly with pliers Inspect the kick shaft gear change shaft a distributor shaft oil seals and replace a damaged ones 3 Assembly Assembly is the reverse of disassembly NOTE c Oil Pump Remove the mounting screws and lake off the oil pump Take out the tachometer gear mounting bracket screws and remove the bracket oil pump gear shaft and thrust washer I Bushings When pressing on the oil pump and tachome bushings be careful not to damage the lip pa Press them on as far as they will go following t illustration 2 Transmission oil drain torque 37 52 ft lbs 5 1 7 2kg M plug installat 7 CLUTCH CLUTCH RELEASE 2 Overhaul An O ring and an oil seal are fitted on the tachometer bushing Inspect the 0 ring and the The clutch enables the transmission of eng power to the rear wheel to be interrupted at a time for smooth starting stopping and g shifting If the clutch does not disengage w gear shifting becomes difficult and the tran mission will incur damage On the other ha if the clutch slips power transmission efficiency reduced and the engine and clutch may overheat Depending on the crankcase oil viscosity level and oil lubricating capacity which decrea with long use a wet type clutch may not dise gage properly or may slip Therefore the cran case should be filled with the correct quan of the specified oil and the oil should be chang
