S.M.A.R.T Test
S.M.A.R.T stands for “Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology. This is a system on a hard drive used to monitor and report on the health
of the drive. If the HD is grayed out, then it does not support S.M.A.R.T.
S.M.A.R.T Test: To run the S.M.A.R.T test, select the hard drive you wish
to perform the S.M.A.R.T test on. Then select whether
to run a Quick or Extended S.M.A.R.T test. Then click
Start to run the test. Click the Create Schedule button
to run the test at a pre-determined time and date.
Quick Test: Runs a quick S.M.A.R.T test. The test usually takes less
than 10 minutes. This test will check the electrical,
mechanical, and read performance of the hard drive.
The results are displayed as Passed/Failed on the web
UI and can also be sent as an e-mail alert.
Extended Test: Runs an extended S.M.A.R.T test. This test requires a lot
more time to complete. However, it is a more thorough
and complete test when compared to the Quick Test.

Enable this function in order to have the results of the
S.M.A.R.T test sent to you by e-mail.
Create Schedule: Click on this button in order to create a scheduled
S.M.A.R.T test. You will be able to schedule a test on a
daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
