1.1 Introduction
Thank you for choosing the ECS KN1 SLI motherboard.
The KN1 SLI is the next generation of high performance motherboard
designed to support the AMD Athlon 64/Athlon 64 FX processor.
This motherboard has an ATX form factor that uses a 4-layer printed circuit
board and measures 305 mm x 244 mm.
The KN1 SLI motherboard is based on the NVIDIA
R
nForce4 SLI media
and communications processor (MCP) to set a new benchmark for the best
desktop platform solution. nForce4 SLI is a single-chip, highly integrated,
high performance HyperTransport peripheral controller, unmatched by any
other single chip-device controller. This motherboard supports up to 4 GB
of system memory with PC3200/2700/2100/1600 DDR DIMMs, high
resolution graphics via two PCI Express slots, Dual LAN, USB 2.0, 8-
channel audio, Digital S/PDIF out, and SATA II (Gen 1 and Gen 2) support
with RAID function.
