POWER TRIM AND TILT (PTT) SYSTEM/

LOWER UNIT

Hydraulic system air bleeding

NOTE:

The PTT unit cannot be bled manually. The

power tilt must be operated during the

bleeding procedure.

1. Bleed:

● Air

Bleeding steps:

● Turn the manual valve counterclock-

wise until it is fully closed.

● Connect the battery leads to the bat-

tery.

● Push the PTT switch so that the tilt rod

moves up and down.

PTT switch Direction

UP Tilt up

DN Tilt down

● Move the tilt rod up and down several

times until it moves smoothly.

LOWER UNIT

Gear oil

1. Check:

● Gear oil

Milky oil → Replace the oil seal.

Slag oil → Check the gear, bearing,

and clutch dog.

2. Check:

● Gear oil level

Level is low → Add oil to the proper

level.
