4.2 Procedure of Data-Block handshaking

4.2.1 Scanner data request

1) Control code from the host computer.

2) The Data-Block from the scanner.

4.2.2 Image data: Monochrome reading.

The following handshaking procedure is required to send the control code

that requests the scanner to send back the data.

1) Control code from the host computer.(ref.ESC G)

2) The Data-Block from the scanner.

3) Response from the host computer.

ACK( 06H ): Continue and send the next data

CAN( 18H ): Abort

4) The last Data-Block

Note: The host computer should not send back ACK(06H) after receiving the last

Data-Block.

The order on the image data in the color line sequence or byte sequence is specified

by ESC C.
