Safety systems
Start lock-out
The appliance cannot be switched on until 
the blender jug has been turned firmly into 
place.
Automatic disconnection
The appliance switches off automatically 
if the blender jug accidentally becomes 
detached during operation.
Overload protection
If the motor switches itself off while the appli-
ance is being used, the overload protection 
feature has been activated. Possible causes:
 – very large amounts of ingredients,
 – appliance operated too long.
If a safety system is activated, see 
“Troubleshooting”.

1 Motor block
2 Rotary switch with illuminated ring
The illuminated ring flashes slowly when 
the appliance is ready for use (on). 
The illuminated ring is lit continuously 
when the appliance is in operation. 
Rapid flashing signals a fault (see 
“Troubleshooting”).

0/off = Stop
on = Appliance switched on 
1 = Lowest operating speed 
5 = Highest operating speed
b MMB64.. :
0/off = Stop 
on = Appliance switched on 
min = Lowest operating speed 
max = Highest operating speed 
Q = pulse circuit at maximum 
speed, hold down switch for required 
duration
c MMB65.. :
0/off = Stop 
on = Appliance switched on 
min = Lowest operating speed 
max = Highest operating speed
3 Quick-selection buttons
Preset buttons for optimum results. 
For some models:
T  =  for crushing ice cubes (crushed 
ice). Press button 1x briefly.
U  =  For making mixed drinks 
and smoothies. Press button 
1x briefly. 
For an even more delicate 
result, press the button a 
second time.
V  =  For cutting ingredients in the 
universal cutter. Press button 
1x briefly.
Q =  Pulse circuit at maximum speed. 
Hold down button for required 
duration.
Pay attention to Figure F !  
When the quick-selection buttons 
T/U/V have been pressed, the preset 
programme runs. To end the programme 
early, press any quick-selection button or 
turn the rotary switch to 0/off.

7 Blender jug made of borosilicate glass  
Especially heat-resistant, even very hot 
ingredients can be processed.
8 Lid with feed tube
9 Measuring cup with scale (max. 50 ml) 
10 Smoothie insert* 
For the preparation of fruits and other 
ingredients into juices and smoothies. 
The insert ensures that pips and other 
solid ingredients are filtered out and do 
not get into the drinks.
11 Universal cutter jug*
