FUEL FLOW INSPECTION
Remove the seat (page
2-21
.
Open and support the front end of the fuel tank
(page 3-151.
Disconnect the fuel cut relay connector.
FUEL CUT RELAY
Check the wire
color when
you select the
fuet
cut relay.

Jump
the Brown and BlackIVVhite wire terminals of
the wire harness side using a j
umper
wire.
When
the fuel return hose is disconnected, gasoline
will spill out from the hose. Use an approved
gaso
M
line container to drain the gasoline.
Wipe
off
spilled gasoline.
Disconnect the fuel return hose at the fuel tank, plug
the fuel tank inlet joint.
Turn the ignition switch ON for 10 seconds.
Measure the
amount
of fuel flow.

If the fuel

is less than specified, inspect the
following:
- Pinched or clogged fuel hose and fuel return hose
- Clogged fuel
filter
- Pressure regulator
- Fuel

After inspection, connect the fuel return hose.
Start the engine and check for leaks.
