The malfunction
indicator lamp
(MIL) will
start
blinking only
with
the side stand
down and with
the engine
off
(engine stop
switch is
set
to
RUN) orengine
revs are
below

In any other con-
ditions, the MIL
wi/{ illuminate and
stay on.

motorcycle

stand.
Start
the
engi
ne and let it idle.
If the
malf
unct
ion indicator blinks, note

many
times the MIL blinks, and
determine
the cause of the
problem
(page 5-10

5-49).

unctioning,
the MIL (indicator
lamp
)

ll not light or blink.
